So early in my MDC career the Department saw an opportunity to reach out to the young people of Missouri through youth education programs. One particular assignment was creating storyboard characters for pre-school young people to interact with in a story book/board fashion. Much like the felt and plastic static stick characters that I played with in my own youth. I was recently asked to update for appropriate ethnic characters which I was very pleased to do as previously I had interpreted in a more cartoony fashion but felt that revision was a vast improvement for the kids to be able to identify with the characters played with and so I upgraded my "style" accordingly.
